Lepidolite
Best for: Anyone who needs an immediate calm for your stress, heartaches and anxiety. For anyone who has issues with restful sleep.
Take a chill pill with Lepidolite. Ease away your paranoia and anxiety to feel calm and relaxed. If you feel like your mind is constantly zooming like on an F1 race track, Lepidolite could be the brake you need to slow things down a little.
Instead of feeling like an agitated charging bull, let Lepidolite take away your groundless anger and irritability to make you feel emotionally balanced and stabilized. It is Mother Nature’s trusty tranquilizer to make you feel calm and composed. Imagine Lepidolite teleporting you to a quiet cafe with soft Jazz music playing in the background. Cast aside the stress and worry to live in the relaxing moment.
Nest in the nurturing warm embrace Lepidolite has to offer. Say yes to its divine love and open yourself to feeling safe, secure and loved. Engage in emotional healing with Lepidolite and allow it to patch you up as needed. Negative thoughts and emotions stand no chance when you’re fortified.
Late night thoughts keeping you up at night? It can act as a soothing sedative to pacify you into a good night’s sleep, without the side effects. Bid adieu to pesky insomnia; look forward to falling into a deep slumber and sleeping like a baby.
It is one of my favourite calming stones of all time. As a natural remedy, it works quickly to ease your nerves and slow down mental pace. Give yourself a few moments of shuteye and take a deep breath while holding/rubbing the stone. Lepidolite is an emotional stabilizer that is helpful for those who cannot help but over-worry or get impatient as you struggle to shift into meditative mode. Women experiencing pre/post-natal emotions, men and women suffering from depression, hormonal imbalance or mood fluctuations due to menopause will find Lepidolite most beneficial. Expect no less from a stone that represents the heart and crown chakras, as it helps to comfort and harmonize emotions and keep your head sober. Slowing down your pace can benefit one to see things more clearly and avoid jumping to conclusions or regretful decisions.
In the shop, I carry both normal and gem quality Lepidolite. Energy wise, the more pinkish ones would emphasize more on love and harmony; the purple ones focus more on unblocking the mind of troubles. I feel that the normal quality ones have a milder/gentler approach as compared to the gem quality ones which are stronger and sharper.
Recommended crystal(s) pairing for meditative work: Rose Quartz, Green Aventurine, New Jade, Pink Thulite, Polychrome Jasper, Petrified Wood, Pink Opal, Amazonite, Moonstone
*this is not an exhaustive list of crystals that you can work with
Best time to use it: Any time of the day when you need to calm an anxious mind and heart
Advised against using when: You are required to be hyper-energized, it might be better to put Lepidolite aside for that period. Due to its high lithium content, Lepidolite stabilizes mood and induces a calming effect.
Placement Advice: Beside the bed or under your pillow. You may also carry it in your pocket to relieve anxiety and tension.
Fun fact(s)
1) Lepidolite can only form in geochemical environments where high concentrations of lithium are available for mineral formation. As these geochemical situations rarely occur, Lepidolite is a rare mineral. (Credits: Geology.com)
2) Lepidolite was originally called "lilalite" because of its lavender color. It was later named "lepidolite" from the Greek word "lepidos", meaning "scales" due to its scaly appearance caused by flakes of lithium. (Credits: Fire Mountain Gems)
