Sapphire

Sapphire

Best for: Anyone who feels like they are treading aimlessly and want to have more control over themselves in achieving realistic goals.

Having the Monday Blues? Say goodbye to mental clutter and distractions with Sapphire by your side. Simplify your inner thoughts to amplify wisdom and creativity. Surely we have all experienced moments where we were like, “I don’t know what I’m doing”. Start your week right with a clear mind.

Use Sapphire to anchor yourself and improve self-expression. Instead of being swayed by others’ opinions, having a tenacious mind of your own and the courage to make your voice heard are powerful in boosting YOUR self-worth.

Sapphire can also enhance fidelity if you are in a romantic relationship. Its alluring blue hues resemble the vast blue sea; and while there may be many fishes, you deserve to be your partner’s only Nemo. Even if you are not anyone’s Nemo, Sapphire helps to improve respect and loyalty in platonic relationships.

Working with Sapphire is relatively straightforward as this stone is typically presented as jewellery. Here’s a simple ritual for boosting focus. Before we begin, make sure your workspace is tidy. Cleanse your space by spritzing the Sacred Space & Earth mists. You are also recommended to burn sage or palo santo to cleanse your house once a week or biweekly. Drink a glass of lemon-infused water (or warm water) when you wake up. Before starting on your work, sit properly with your foot flat on the ground, close your eyes and take a few deep breaths till your mind is silent and body relaxed (Some may feel better after stretching exercises). Release all thoughts and emotions attached to this body. As you free out this space, imagine your body as a vessel and fill it with white light as you breathe in. A layer of golden ray surrounds your auric body. Your body should be the most conscious now. Bring your hands to your chest and speak out your wishes as you visualise it coming into fruition.

Eg. “I want to bring my creative ideas to life. I am fully capable of achieving this. I am doing it right now. I did it.” Once you are done, slowly open your eyes and thank yourself.

The first step to achieving a goal is to visualise its outcome. You are halfway to your goal when you plant the seed of manifestation visually and mentally on a daily basis. Do not underestimate this power. It taps and vibrates the energy within and around you, while sending the message out into the Universe. The remaining 50% is dependent on willpower and actions taken on the physical (3D - reality) plane. A.k.a How well you stick to your goal/plan.

Recommended crystal(s) pairing for meditative work: Black Tourmaline, Clear Quartz, Diamond Quartz, Labradorite, Smoky Quartz, Sunstone, Bronzite, Selenite
*this is not an exhaustive list of crystals that you can work with

Best time to use it: Whenever you need to. If your creative thought processes tend to only come in the night, light a candle and scent your space preferably with something that allows you to come into focus. You may consider Cinnamon, Ginger, Mint, Cedar Wood, or citrusy scent.

Advised against using when: Desires are toxic, unrealistic and not stemmed from positive intentions.

Placement advice: Preferably on the work desk where you need much focus. If you have a bracelet, it is good to have it on you while you are active at work.

Fun fact(s)
1) It is a naturally transparent material, but can have different colors depending on the presence of transition metal impurities in its crystalline structure. Corundum has two primary gem varieties: ruby and sapphire. Rubies are red due to the presence of chromium, and sapphires exhibit a range of colors depending on what transition metal is present. 2) Sapphire is commonly associated with the British Royal Family. Princess Diana’s famous blue Sapphire engagement ring was passed down to Kate Middleton, the Duchess of Cambridge. (Credits: Gemporia)

3) First recorded in 1391, Ancient Egyptians used Sapphire and other blue gemstones as medicine to heal eye problems. (Credits: Gemporia)
